Champion Academy is part of the Heart In Heaven Digital Academy (HIHDA) Educational Network focused on alleviating the inequities in education in the developing world.

The idea for Heart In Heaven was birthed in September of 2021 by Angelique Cooper McGlotten. Angelique was born and raised in Liberia, West Africa, before emigrating to the United States due to a coup in her home country. However, Liberia has always been home.
When Angelique returned home after thirty-three years, she saw such suffering in Liberia, especially within the schools. Two-thirds of school-aged children are not in school due to a variety of reasons, so Heart In Heaven's Educational Network was born.
Champion Academy joined the Heart In Heaven Educational Network in February of 2024. The school is fully accredited with the Liberian Ministry of Education teaching grades K-8.
Students love when their teachers engage with them. At Champion Academy we encourage the teachers to have fun while they teach, so the students can see that there is joy in learning.

"People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care." We need to care about our students as people first, before we can teach them. They need to know we care about what they are going through in their lives, in their homes and in their families.
At Champion Academy we look to partner with educators who have a passion for what they teach and a passion to impart this to their students. Passion is infectious and we want to spread that to every student.
